I Finally Got My NutriBullet

I was a little leery to buy the NutriBullet as I had bought the Magic Bullet and was very disappointed in the performance of the device for anything other than smoothies.  My mother in-law uses the Ninja and she was kinda swerving me in that direction. So one day my mom brings over her NutriBullet and I used it to make a standard protein shake, no frills and I was in heaven!  So I finally decided to purchase the product from Amazon .  I'm really looking forward to whipping up some of the delicious nutritional shakes from the recipe book. And if I can get the kids to drink them ... yay mommy success! I will be reviewing the product and posting a final review in the weeks coming. So make sure you subscribe to my blog to get the update. Stealhead Trout with Baked Potato

Seasoned trout with lemon juice, garlic, tsp butter, assorted seasonings. Wrap in foil and cook in NuWave oven no more than 20 mins. Perfect every time! Wrap red skin potatoes in foil and cook in NuWave for 60 minutes. Season to taste.

Strawberry avocado salad ... mixed greens, fresh strawberries, avocado, walnuts and light poppyseed dressing. Simple, sweet and filling.

Tuna & Tomato Salad

This is one of my favorite low calorie, quick and easy meals. 1 cup lettuce 1 cup tomatoes 1-2 Tuna Packs (in water) 1 Tsp Olive Oil Sprinkle lemon juice to taste. Season to taste...I used garlic, Mrs Dash Table Blend, a little sea salt.

Chocolate-Dipped Watermelon

Everybody loves chocolate; even your heart! New studies in food and nutrition science suggest that dark chocolate is healthy for your body due to inflammation and gut microbes.  Gut bugs (sounds gross!) gorge on the fiber and antioxidants in dark chocolate, fermenting them into compounds that have anti-inflammatory effects on the heart, says food scientist John Finley. It's double the impact when you pair dark chocolate with fruit, which also has the same compounds. Source: Prevention Chocolate Dipped Watermelon 8 oz dark chocolate, finely chopped 5 lb seedless watermelon, cut into 1" wedges Place chocolate in heaterproof bowl set over simmering water. Stir until melted. Dip watermelon in chocolate and place on parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with coarse sea salt, if desired, and refrigerate. Makes 25 wedges.
