I follow and extremely healthy diet, workout at least 5 days a week and I have gained 3 lbs, no inches lost at all. Why am I not losing weight?

So here are some things to look for to help determine the reasons you are gaining weight or may not notice inch loss.

So here are some things to look for to help determine the reasons you are gaining weight or may not notice inch loss.
- If you are exercising 5 days a week; make sure you are eating enough calories to compensate for the amount of calories you are burning. Use an app like My Fitness Pal to help you determine the amount of calories you should be eating.
- Exercise builds muscle; which is heavier than fat. You could be building muscle; which is causing the slight 1-3 pound weight gain.
- You could be losing inches in places you are not measuring. Continue to measure on a regular basis but also try to judge by how your clothes look and feel on you. Another thing that helps is to take before and after photos. Sometimes we don't see the results in the mirror but when you have something to compare it to; you may notice remarkable results.
- Water retention. Make sure it's not that "time of the month" as bloating and water retention can cause weight gain. If you are just starting out with your weight loss journey and you're not used to drinking 8+ glasses of water per day, your body may need time to adjust.
- In some cases it may take 30+ days before you can see noticeable results. Just stay focused and continue to be consistent with your healthy eating habits and exercise.
